DELTA ORINOCO

The delta of Orinoco (third longest river in South America with its 2150 km), impressive entrance to the Atlantic Ocean, covers an area of 40,240 sq km, its width did exclaim Columbus, believing that you are the ocean and not in the delta and, when they tasted the water, “I have never seen so much fresh water in a sea of salt water.”
The 40,240 sq km are made up of marshes and mangrove forests are crossed by channels that exist there. Many channels are transformed into small islands when the power fails to carry the various sediments.
